The Tijuana Bible Fellowship
Before mass-scale photographic reproduction was available, North American men could find adequate fantasy fodder in 8-page comics known as Tijuana Bibles. Approximately one thousand of these diminutive hardcore pamphlets were illegally produced from the Depression to the Post-War era, until rags such as Playboy became popular.
The Tijuana Bible Felloship uses the format and style of the original 8-pagers in order delve deeper into themes of emasculation, objectification, and the taboo nature of sexuality in general.
